NAACP taps Lucas for Vanguard Award
George Lucas will probably be obtain the NAACP Vanguard Award within the 43rd annual Image Honours, held Feb. 17 within the Shrine Auditorium. The Academy Award-winning director was attracted on for just about any body at work the NAACP states has elevated understanding and knowledge of racial and social issues. Lucas is executive producer in the animated TV series "Alien: The Clone Wars." More youthful crowd offered as executive producer on "Red-colored-colored Tails," a completely new film inspired with the heroic exploits of America's first all-black aerial combat unit.
